Stoke Fan View: 3 talking points ahead of the Arsenal clash

Stoke Fan View: Solid but lacking a real spark as Premier League adventure resumes
It became very apparent during the 90 minutes how good Kurt Zouma is actually going to be for us. With Bruno Martins Indi to also come in, the depth we have in the defensive positions is a real positive.

Stoke Fan View: Mark Hughes has decisions to make ahead of Everton opener
What formation will Hughes go with? In this preseason, Mark Hughes has used many different formations and experimented well with different players. After the success against Leipzig last weekend however I do think he’ll opt for the 3-4-2-1 formation again.

Stoke Fan View: Three players who would be ideal to replace the departing Marko Arnautovic.
The 24 year old Brazilian star has in recent years, showed his high level of talent across Brazil and in the South American continental cups and even earned himself a call up to the national team earlier this year. The flair, dribbling and unpredictability are three assets him and Marko share, as they can do the unexpected at any moment and turn a game on its head. Could the Brazilian be the man to make the fans forget about Marko?

Stoke Fan View: Last game of the season brings relief to all Stoke fans that it's over.
Both teams really have nothing to play for so I wouldn’t be surprised if youth players became a feature in this match. With huge investment in the academy over the years, it would be nice to see the likes of Julien Ngoy making a cameo to give the fans something positive to look forward to next season. Will youth players such as Ngoy get a chance to display their talents?

Stoke Fan View: Gutless performance sees us looking at worse points tally since promotion
If it wasn’t for some good saves by Jack and a bit of help from the woodwork it honestly could’ve been much worse as Arsenal for 80 minutes of the game found it far to easy to break us down and halt our attacks. Given the rivalry between Stoke and Arsenal fans this performance was inexcusable. Mark Hughes really has seemed to run out of ideas with this side as fans are increasingly growing in frustration towards the manager.

Stoke Fan View: Hughes needs to show the fans something else in the remaining six games to get them back on his side
The last 18 months have gone from the transition from ‘Stokealona’ to where we first were when Hughes originally took over. One of the main issues during this run is that Hughes has kept reverting to all the players that were originally bought by Pulis and not his own players who he has seemingly got no faith in.

Stoke Fan View: 3 ways to stop the end-of-season slide into mediocrity
Hughes needs to stop neglecting good players such as Imbula and stop with his agenda. Charlie Adams attempt at of a corner against Burnley was a perfect clip to sum up his and Stokes season. It was bizarre I found, that Hughes chose Adam ahead of Imbula and Afellay.

Stoke Fan View: How Stoke build on solid away performance against Manchester City?
With Saido lacking match fitness this seems like an ideal time to keep him in the side as we play in what is basically a free game against Chelsea. Starting Crouch will be too easy for the Chelsea back three I feel, as with a complete lack of pace, they will be able to mark Crouch out of the game. Against Chelsea you need someone who is more nimble and willing to run in behind and make space for his teammates, Berahino can do this.

Stoke Fan View: How Stoke continue good record at White Hart Lane
Play with a fast intensity and work on Tottenham’s tired legs. After Spurs’ gruelling game against Belgian side Gent, it’s essential Stoke press as much as possible and force Spurs to work hard. If Stoke press and apply an intense pressure it will cause the Tottenham team to fatigue meaning Stoke can really push on in the final minutes.

Stoke Fan View: 3 ways we can end the Palace hoodoo
How can Mark Hughes overcome the Eagles? Benteke is a striker who has consistently got the better of us down the years and this has usually come from wide positions, with balls flying into the box. With Zaha and Van Aanholt providing the width for the Eagles, it is essential we stop the supply at source.

Stoke Fan View: Three players who could help meet our European ambitions.
With the window closing in seven days time, I have a look at who Stoke could bring in to help achieve the clubs ambition for a seventh place finish. The young Spaniard would be a perfect addition to our side right now. With a complete lack of depth on the left hand side, Jonny could offer fantastic competition for current to Erik Pieters who quite often gets away with poor performances as no one can step up and take his place.
