  • New Dodge Charger SRT Widebody likely teased in brief video

This morning, we saw a new, extremely brief teaser for a new version of the Dodge Charger SRT. We don't know exactly what the car is, but rumors and spy shots suggest that the big sedan could be getting the same treatment as the multiple Dodge Challenger widebody models.

  • 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLS 580 First Drive Review | Capturing the heart of the heart of Mercedes

A month or so back, we were relegated to the passenger seat while Mercedes' engineers had all the fun. Mercedes is calling the GLS the S-Class of SUVs. The Alabama-built GLS debuted just over a decade ago as the GL-Class, sitting atop the ever-growing Mercedes-Benz SUV lineup.

  • Ford Fusions in Canada found to contain nearly 400 pounds of meth

If you own a late model Ford Fusion, you might want to take a minute to check your trunk for some unwanted and illegal aftermarket packages. A few months back, the Canadian police found a handful of Fusions at more than a dozen dealerships across Ontario, Quebec and New Brunswick loaded with $4.5 million CAD or nearly $3.4 million USD worth of methamphetamine. The drugs were hidden inside the non-spec spare tires of said Fusions.

  • Mid-engine Chevy Corvette patent filing shows active aero, variable ride height

Until then, we'll have to keep poring over spy photos, watching teaser videos and looking at patents like the one uncovered by Midenginecorvetteforum.com this week. The new patent, filed on June 11, shows that GM is working on active aero, including a system that will adjust the car's ride height. The illustration in the patent filing shows a C7, but it's likely simply for the patent filing itself.

  • Autoblog Midsize Truck Comparo | Toyota Tacoma, Ford Ranger, Chevy Colorado, Jeep Gladiator

The Toyota Tacoma reigned supreme, thanks to a sterling reputation for reliability, great residuals and a fiercely loyal fanbase. This led to the reintroduction of the Ford Ranger in 2019 and the new Wrangler-based Jeep Gladiator, that brand's first truck in nearly 30 years. Although we've driven them all extensively, it was time to see which of these midsize trucks is really the best.

  • 2019 Mercedes-AMG E 53 Second Drive Review | A standout in a sea of wonders

In the past, the AMG formula was simple: Stick a big, powerful engine under the hood, sharpen the steering and suspension, and warm over the styling with some big wheels and subtle trim. A trip to Northern California with the 2019 Mercedes-AMG E 53 sedan, coupe and cabriolet shows that although things have changed quite a bit since Daimler took control of AMG in 1999, at least one thing remains very much the same: most AMGs are powered by one sweetheart of an engine.

  • 2019 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Octane Edition fuels your dreams for a limited time

Take a look at the new 2019 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Octane Edition, a special blacked-out model that's set to arrive at dealerships this fall. The car is available to order now, but Dodge says the books will only be open for a limited amount of time. The Octane Edition is available in two appropriately named colors: Pitch Black and White Knuckle.

  • Ford F-150 Power Stroke diesel now available on volume XLT trim

The engine, a 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6 based on a unit built by Jaguar Land Rover, makes 250 horsepower and a healthy 440 pound-feet of torque. The XLT trim makes up the largest percentage of F-150 sales by a sizable margin, meaning the Power Stroke will be available on 75 percent of the F-150 mix. To get the Power Stroke on an F-150 XLT, you must choose equipment group 302A.

  • 2020 Lexus RX350 and RX450h debut with refreshed styling and updated tech

The 2020 Lexus RX350 and 450h made their debuts late last night, refreshing the fourth-gen model that made its debut back in 2015. The luxury crossover gets a number of updates, with the changes mostly focused on styling, tech and safety. All the lines look a bit more sleek, with thinner headlights and L-shaped blades in the taillights, again similar to the LC and LS.

  • 2020 Chevy Corvette spied with reduced aero on a high-speed test track

We're less than two months away from the reveal of the long-awaited mid-engine 2020 Chevy Corvette. The C8 has been roaming around for years at this point, shedding more and more camouflage and yet we know next to nothing about the car beyond the basic shape and a few blurry shots of the car's interior.

  • Turo and Metromile partner on pay-per-mile insurance policy

Turo, one of the leaders in car-sharing, has partnered with Metromile, a pay-per-mile insurance company, for a special policy tailored for Turo hosts. The difference is that you don't pay for the miles the car accumulates while it's being driven by someone else through Turo. Turo's insurance policy covers vehicles while they are being used by Turo users, so this helps hosts avoid paying for redundant coverage, presumably saving money.

  • More 2019 Mazda MX-5 Miata 30th Anniversary editions are heading to America

The Mazda MX-5 Miata 30th Anniversary edition made its debut a few months back at the 2019 Chicago Auto Show. The special model was limited to just 3,000 units worldwide, with just 500 heading to the U.S. Miata enthusiasts were so excited by the car that the entire allotment sold out within four hours. In order to help satisfy demand for this limited edition model, Mazda is allocating another 143 cars for the American market, bringing the total number of cars heading to the U.S. to 643.

  • 2019 Ford Shelby GT350 First Drive Review | That voodoo you do so well

The Shelby GT350 is an Autoblog favorite, a sharp and powerful sports car with a truly special engine under the hood, helping it feel genuinely different from lesser Mustang variants. The car gets an update for 2019 (one year after the regular Mustang received a refresh of its own), but, unless you know what you're looking for, you may not notice any differences. The coupe-only GT350 sits atop the Mustang lineup — at least until the supercharged 700-plus horsepower GT500 hits showrooms — thanks to a myriad of performance upgrades over the Mustang GT including better aero, sharper suspension and steering, and the aforementioned powertrain, a naturally-aspirated 5.2-liter flat-plane crank V8 making 526 horsepower and 429 pound-feet of torque.

  • Velocity Restorations Ford Bronco Review | The devil is in the details

The Ford Broncos, Toyota Land Cruisers, and International Scouts that fill Velocity Restorations' shop beg to be photographed. The shop is one of a dozen or so around the country specializing in these restomods, pairing vintage SUVs with more modern powertrains, safety features, and creature comforts. Velocity Restorations had two Broncos on hand for us to sample.

  • 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLS 580 First Ride Review | Dunes, oversteer and some trick suspension

It's been about two weeks since the new 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLS-Class made its debut in New York, and we've already gotten our first bit of seat time in the new biggest Benz. Unfortunately, it's not the seat we'd like to be in — we'll have to wait a few more months before Mercedes lets us get behind the wheel. For now, we'll have to settle for a riding shotgun while Dr. Andreas Zygan, the Chief Engineer Development SUVs, and Stefanie Schmitz, Senior Project Manager Development SUVs, blast around some massive sand dunes and uneven dirt roads about 100 miles west of Las Vegas near the California state line.

  • Watch this artist disassemble an Audi R8 V10 for an extremely awesome poster

Earlier this year, Audi announced a special limited-edition variant of the R8 to celebrate ten years of V10 power. The original Audi R8 V10 launched in 2009 and was sold alongside the V8-powered R8, a model that hit dealers in 2006. If you want to take a good look at what makes Audi's V10-powered sports car really tick, watch this amazing "disintegration" video that shows the each and every nut and bolt of the car's guts.

  • Elon Musk announces Tesla will build a quiet electric leaf blower

Working for Elon Musk must be a wild experience. Yesterday evening, Musk sent a tweet saying that Tesla would be building an electric leaf blower. A follow up tweet suggests the leaf blower could use a repurposed version of the Tesla Model 3's HVAC system.

The TLX PMC Edition goes on sale this summer with a starting price of around $50,000.

  • Fan builds Ken Block's Ford Mustang Hoonicorn out of Legos

Ken Block builds some pretty wild stuff. When he filmed his first Gymkhana video a few years back, he was some souped-up Subaru WRX STIs. In the years since, he's built a strong relationship with Ford, building and racing a number of new and classic vehicles from the automaker, the latest of which is a 1977 F-150 with the twin-turbo V6 from a Ford GT racecar.

  • Watch a Porsche 911 GT2 RS set production-car lap record at Road Atlanta

Right now, the hottest thing rolling out of Stuttgart is the Porsche 911 GT2 RS (at least now that the car is temporarily back in production). It's one of the fastest production cars ever built, and Porsche has been on a mission to cement the coupe's legacy. After setting (and subsequently losing, then resetting) the lap record at the Nürburgring Nordschleife, the automaker has been making the rounds in America, lapping the GT2 RS at both WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca and Willow Springs International Raceway.
