
Jon Fingas started writing about technology and its cultural impact at the turn of the millennium in a local magazine, and his career has been devoted to those fields ever since. He founded Electronista in 2006, soon after receiving his Master's degree in English, and became an Associate Editor at Engadget in 2012. He has since covered everything from crypto to politics. He began running Engadget's weekend coverage in late 2017 and was formally promoted to Weekend Editor in 2021. After being promoted to a Reporter role in 2022, he has devoted more time to features.
