Abby Jo Hamele, a 19-year-old student at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, had her wisdom teeth removed before the American Thanksgiving weekend. Mistakenly believing her philosophy paper was due soon, the less-than-eloquent Hamele emailed her TA, Kevin Patton, to beg for an extension.

    Canadian renovation expert Mike Holmes says the $38 million it could cost to renovate and expand the prime minister’s official residence at 24 Sussex Drive is far higher than what taxpayers would pay to build a brand new home. Talking to CTV News, Holmes said the simpler option would be to “take the house down and make a brand new home. Holmes explained that while “it’s a huge amount of money” the high price tag does make some sense.

    Pima Animal Care Center started a program that puts very young kittens in the care of the residents at Catalina Springs Memory Care. The first two kittens to go through the program, Peaches and Turtle, are sisters who came to PACC as strays on Oct. 14. "To some it may seem peculiar at first: Residents who are in need of around-the-clock care themselves, given the task to care for these young kittens," Catalina Springs Memory Care Executive Director Sharon Mercer, said to PICA county officials.
