    Shoppers beware! There's a chance youre being watched by someone other than the standard mall security guard. A female employee at the Gap in Mission Viejo found a camera in one of the store's dressing rooms Aug. 11, reports CBS. Obscured by black tape, the device -- which only measures about .5 by two inches -- was affixed to a picture frame, according to the Orange County Register and CBS. While the Sheriff's Department was immediately notified, authorities are still unsure who hid the camera and how long it had been there.

Homeowner Maral Shekerdemian told CBS that the duo were "just having a great time swimming, and pulling the vacuum out and just having a blast…like little kids." Thankfully, the bears weren't posing a threat, and she managed to capture some of the action on her smart phone. "I was definitely panicking, scared, but at the same time I was kind of excited to witness the bears," she reported to KTLA.

    Tracy Lynn Betts, a 41-year-old Temecula teacher's aide and mother, has been charged with one count of child endangerment after a bizarre incident, reports ABC. Betts is accused of leaving her 12-year-old daughter in a parked car nearby the school at which she works, according to the LA Times. Betts allegedly took her daughter's clothes so she wouldn't leave the car, and left her without food or water, reports the Sacramento Bee.

With severe overcrowding easing in state lockups, California is winding down a controversial deal with the nation’s biggest private prison operator and will bring thousands of inmates housed in facilities as far away as Mississippi back to California within the next few years. Currently, some 9,500 state inmates are serving sentences in prisons in Arizona, Mississippi and Oklahoma operated by the Nashville, Tenn.-based Corrections Corporation of America.
