A GoFundMe page has been set up for one of the two men found shot to death in Oak Run this week.

Meba Solomon Getachew, 32, from Ashland, Oregon, and Gunnar Eliot Yeager, 33, of Medford, Oregon, were found dead outside two vehicles parked alongside Zig Zag Lane in Oak Run on Monday.

Shasta County sheriff's officials said the two were shot to death and they are investigating the incident as a double homicide.

Officials said the investigation into the shooting was ongoing and they did not indicate whether anyone had been arrested in the incident.

"At this time, there is no indication the general public’s safety is at risk. Detectives are actively conducting follow up to determine the person or persons responsible," a sheriff's office press release said.

An official with GoFundMe said Thursday that a fundraising account had been set up for Yeager's family.

On the fundraising account he was described by his sister-in-law, Carly Anne Kimmel, as a dedicated family man.

"Those of you who have had the pleasure of knowing Gunnar Yeager, know that his heart was even bigger than his smile. He had a kind and a selfless nature, always putting those around him first and ever willing to lend a helping hand," the GoFundMe page said.

"All he wanted in life was to take care of and provide for his family, the same way his family did for him growing up," Kimmel wrote.

As of Thursday afternoon, the family had raised $19,470, according to GoFundMe.

Gunnar Yeager left behind, his brother (Royce Yeager), his mother and father (Sue & Garry Yeager), and his wife and children (Amanda, Michael and Gannon Yeager), according to GoFundMe.
