'Cars 3': Exclusive mini-movie sends Lightning and Cruz back to 'Skool'

Learn to race the Miss Fritter way, courtesy of an all-new Cars 3 mini-movie included on the upcoming home release of Pixar’s summertime hit. Picking up immediately where the third lap around the Cars track left off, “Miss Fritter’s Racing Skool” finds new champion Cruz Ramirez (Cristela Alonzo) and her coach, Lightning McQueen (Owen Wilson), celebrating her victory, when they notice a familiar presence in a commercial that starts playing on the TV behind them.

That presence is Miss Fritter (Lea DeLaria), the trash-talking school bus that squared off with the duo at a raucous demolition derby earlier in the movie. In this exclusive clip, the bright-yellow speed demon tells viewers why her lessons are so invaluable, with additional testimony provided by one of her pupils, a rough-and-tumble ambulance with the nickname Dr. Damage. (Watch the clip above.)

If you’re eager to enroll your own automobile in Miss Fritter’s skool, you can visit this institution of higher vehicular learning at its official website. And when he’s not training Cruz, maybe Lightning can stop by as a kind of adjunct professor. After all, those who can no longer race … teach!

Cars 3 premieres on digital platforms on Oct. 24 and Blu-ray on Nov. 7.
