DEAR ABBY: Six years ago, not long after I announced to my family that I was going to be married, my parents decided to divorce because Dad had been cheating on Mom. Because I allowed him to walk me down the aisle, she didn’t attend my wedding. I was extremely hurt by it, but decided to forgive and forget. Unfortunately, my mother could not do that. For the last six years, she has ignored my phone calls and text messages. I have sent cards and gifts for birthdays, Christmas and Mother’s Day and received no acknowledgment (although she does generally send me a generic birthday or Christmas card). We were very close before all this started, and I have tried reaching out to her in every way I know
Washington (CNN)Political analyst David Gergen delivered a harsh critique of President Trump's campaign-style rally Saturday night in an appearance on CNN's "Newsroom." "To bring your campaign speech into the presidency is something presidents rarely do," said Gergen, who has been a White House adviser to four presidents. "This was the most divisive speech I've ever heard from a sitting American president." Computer programmer Nicholas Paggi - a 2015 MIT grad and a Bayville, New Jersey native - was with roommates who are MIT graduate students when he fell. “He came down the side of one of the roofs, came across the front and slipped going back up the other side,” his mother, Helga Paggi, told CBS in Boston from her home in Toms River, New Jersey.
(CNN)Sparks flew Saturday evening on a CNN "Newsroom" panel as contributors clashed over President Trump's accomplishments in the first 100 days and over remarks he had just delivered at a rally in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Moments later, Republican strategist Paris Dennard took issue with Begala's remarks, offering criticism of the media class's overall treatment of Trump. "Paul ... listen.
9:30 AM PT -- A rep for Delta tells us ... "We became aware of this incident and a video last week and immediately removed the pilot from duty while we completed a thorough investigation. Local law enforcement was called to respond at the time of the incident. The pilot has since been returned to work as our investigation found that his actions deescalated an altercation between passengers on the jetway floor during deplaning." We're told the women in the vid had gotten into a skirmish earlier, on the airplane, and they knew each other. They were eventually escorted away by a Delta employee, and as they were walking away, cops showed up. We're told neither of the women wanted to press charges
