• ‘Cash me outside’ girl is a bi-coastal menace to America

The teen notorious for her “cash me outside” remark on the “Dr. Phil” show has found herself in the middle of trouble again. Police are investigating a brawl involving Danielle Bregoli, 13, and three others early on Sunday morning outside of a bar in Lake Worth, Florida. Bregoli, who made headlines earlier this month for a Spirit Airlines altercation, was caught on camera exchanging words with another female bar patron in a video shared to YouTube. According to the post, the woman had suggested that Bregoli was out past her curfew. In response, one of Bregoli’s friends hurled ice cream at the woman and then made a break for it. The food fight led to more altercations that were not seen on the

  • ‘No Excuse Mom’ Maria Kang Calls Out Filmmaker on Body Positivity

Maria Kang wants moms to get their bodies into shape after having children, while Taryn Brumfitt is all about moms ’embracing’ their postbaby bodies. Maria Kang, aka “Hot Mom,” who once enraged the Internet by posting a chiseled bikini shot and challenging moms to whip their bodies into prepregnancy shape, is back in the spotlight: She’s calling out a fellow mom for sending women a muddled message about body positivity. On Monday, Kang posted to Facebook a split-screened photo of herself and Taryn Brumfitt, an Australian mother of three whose 2013 before-and-after pregnancy photos went viral after she confessed to preferring her postbaby curves to her prebaby six-pack abs.

  • ‘A crime so horrific’: Mom gets 50 years for poisoning, burning her 5-year-old son

In the two years since she poisoned her 5-year-old son with cold medicine and staged a fiery car crash with his body wedged on a back-seat floorboard, Narges Shafeirad has never publicly said why she did it. Shafeirad’s words - spoken just before she was sentenced to 50 years for the murder of Daniel Dana - left the judge in front of a packed courtroom searching for an explanation. “A mother murdering her child is a crime so horrific that it is natural to try to determine why,” said Montgomery County Circuit Court Judge Nelson Rupp, who had read a psychological evaluation of Shafeirad. Rupp noted that Shafeirad showed very little emotion in court, even as Daniel’s father and grandparents broke down as they spoke, and even as prosecutors detailed how she had forced the child to drink lethal doses of diphenhydramine, the active ingredient in drugs such as Benadryl.

  • Since this golf course went brown, it’s battled ATVs, burglars and snakes

Wayne Rosen, a well-known developer of upscale homes, kept his promise - well, one of them. After not getting the rezoning he requested last year to build single-family homes in an industrial area, Rosen - who had vowed to let Homestead’s Keys Gate Golf Course “go brown” - has not relented. True to his word, the golf course today is indeed brown. But it’s not just a matter of dead grass. Piles of tree branches and trash have overtaken tee boxes. Ponds and water hazards are surrounded by knee-deep grass. Once-emerald fairways are now filled with weeds and sand. Dilapidated bathrooms with collapsed roofs are adorned with yellow police tape. Since the course closed, city officials have dealt with

  • Great white shark caught from pier is under investigation; disturbing video

A disturbing video of a juvenile great white shark being hauled up onto the Huntington Beach Pier and an equally disturbing photo of the fishermen posing with the catch has created an uproar on social media. The video posted on Facebook by Mike Hefner and the photo posted on Facebook by Diego Gamboa Fishing not only sparked outrage but could help enforcement agents with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife in identifying the offending anglers. Great white sharks are protected. It is illegal to catch a great white shark and when one is hooked, it is supposed to be released as soon as possible, not landed so photos can be taken, as what happened in this case. And you certainly don’t gaff
