Earlier this week, former Vice President Joe Biden said he would have "beat the hell out of Trump" if they were in high school together. And to nobody's surprise (but everyone's dismay), Trump has of course felt the need to respond. On Thursday morning, POTUS tweeted this:

"Crazy Joe Biden is trying to act like a tough guy. Actually, he is weak, both mentally and physically, and yet he threatens me, for the second time, with physical assault. He doesn't know me, but he would go down fast and hard, crying all the way. Don't threaten people Joe!"

Trump, btw, is in the WWE Hall of Fame for his various verbal and physical fights on Wrestle Mania. You can watch a clip of one of those brawls here.

Now, Biden's original comment came during a speech at the University of Miami on Tuesday. He spoke about Trump's now-infamous Access Hollywood tape and added, "They asked me would I like to debate this gentleman, and I said no. I said, 'If we were in high school, I'd take him behind the gym and beat the hell out of him.'"

As Trump mentioned, this isn't even the first time these two have threatened to fight out their differences. While Biden was campaigning for Hillary Clinton during the 2016 election, he made similar remarks at a rally in Pennsylvania. "The press always ask me, 'Don't I wish I were debating him?' No, I wish we were in high school -- I could take him behind the gym. That's what I wish."

Trump responded to those comments, too, at the Gridiron Club Dinner in Washington, earlier this month. "You know when he said, 'I'm going to take you behind the barn'? Oh, just trust me, I would kick his ass. He'd be easy," Trump said, though Biden had mentioned a gym, not a barn. "But, Joe, gimme a break. A guy who keeps making outrageous statements thinks he has a shot of being president?" Trump said jokingly, making fun of himself.

Joe Biden has not ruled out a presidential run in 2020, so these two could potentially face each other in the election. Sounds like it would be a very civil race!
