TORONTO (AP) _ Mountain Province Diamonds Inc. (MPVD) on Wednesday reported a loss of $22.9 million in its fourth quarter.

On a per-share basis, the Toronto-based company said it had a loss of 11 cents. Losses, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were 2 cents per share.

The diamond mining company posted revenue of $53.3 million in the period.

For the year, the company reported a loss of $14.6 million, or 7 cents per share, swinging to a loss in the period. Revenue was reported as $239.9 million.

In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, the company's shares hit 94 cents. A year ago, they were trading at $2.55.
