CURITIBA, Brazil (AP) _ Companhia Paranaense de Energia (ELPVY) on Friday reported fourth-quarter net income of $97.9 million.

On a per-share basis, the Curitiba, Brazil-based company said it had profit of 36 cents.

The energy company posted revenue of $964.1 million in the period.

For the year, the company reported profit of $369.5 million, or $1.35 per share. Revenue was reported as $3.92 billion.

Companhia Paranaense shares have climbed nearly 2 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has increased 15 percent in the last 12 months.
