PRINCETON, N.J. (AP) _ Advaxis Inc. (ADXS) on Tuesday reported fiscal first-quarter net income of $12.8 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.

On a per-share basis, the Princeton, New Jersey-based company said it had profit of 18 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring gains, came to 15 cents per share.

The biotechnology company posted revenue of $19.7 million in the period.

The company's shares closed at 33 cents. A year ago, they were trading at $2.20.
