“General Hospital” star Carolyn Hennesy has joined Netflix’s “Gilmore Girls” revival series in a recurring role, Variety has learned exclusively. The Daytime Emmy nominated actress will play Toni, a member of The DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution). Described as upper-crust, someone who likes to keep things orderly and does not appreciate dissension, Toni has been in the “club” for years with Emily Gilmore (Kelly Bishop). Hennesy’s other credits include “Cougar Town” and “Revenge.” She is repped by BRS/Gage Talent Agency and Justice & Ponder.

“Nashville” casts Murray Bartlett as new recurring role on the CMT Network’s new scripted drama. Bartlett will play the role of Jakob Fine, a very handsome, charismatic and successful men’s fashion designer. Following ABC’s cancellation of the show, CMT has picked up the series for a fifth season, and the show is being executive produced by Marshall Herskovitz, Ed Zwick, Steve Buchanan and Callie Khouri. Bartlett is represented by Paradigm and Anonymous Content.
