The Most Downloaded iPhone and iPad Apps of 2014
It’s December, the time in which those who love “best of the year” lists are at their maximum height of happiness. And in general, since Apple’s App Store for iOS is something most people adore, we thought we’d pass along what Apple says are its most downloaded apps of 2014.
Leading the pack on Apple’s “Top Free” category is Facebook’s Messenger app. It’s no surprise considering that the social network this year removed the private chat function from both its Android and iOS apps, forcing anyone that wanted this function to go get the new spinoff app.
Leading the “Top Paid” ranking is the Password-like game Heads Up!, made popular on TV’s The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
