It’s pretty obvious Melania Trump really likes Dolce & Gabbana. Not only is she wearing a black jacket from the fashion house in her official White House portrait, but on a recent trip abroad she stepped out in four different outfits — and counting. Just as the first lady enjoys incorporating the Italian brand into her wardrobe, Stefano Gabbana, co-founder of the label, appreciates her wearing it and shows it by sharing on Instagram.

Recently, he posted a video of President Trump and Melania, wearing a bespoke black Dolce & Gabbana coat, arriving in Rome on Tuesday. “@flotus #melaniatrump ???????? Welcome to Italy ????????#ROMA #DGWoman Thank you,” he captioned the short clip.

He also shared a still of the first couple departing Air Force One, adding a message welcoming them to Italy in the caption.

While the posts were met with hundreds of comments praising the first lady and the designer for his creations, they received some negative feedback from some users as well. It seems that the designer noticed some of the unfavorable comments — and had something to say to those criticizing his posts.

Gabbana shared a meme indirectly telling the trolls that he does not care about their opinions.

❤❤???????????????????? to all my haters ????????????????❤❤❤

He shouted out to his haters in the caption, adding laughing emojis as well. A few hours later he posted another image of the first lady in the Dolce & Gabbana look she wore for her visit with Pope Francis on Wednesday.

@flotus ❤❤❤❤ #melaniatrump ❤❤#DGWoman THANK YOU ❤ Haters!!!! Remember #boycottdolcegabbana please remember the post previous one,” suggesting those who were telling people to boycott the brand to check out the meme he had posted hours before.

He attached the same caption to another photo featuring the first lady, President Trump, and Pope Francis.

Many of his followers love the approach he takes to negative feedback from Internet trolls.

“Love that you don’t care about all these ignorants and their dumb comments lol. The First Lady looked gorgeous!” one user wrote. “She looks incredible and we love that you back down to no one!” another added.

Additionally, Gabbana posted a picture featuring negative comments he’s received featuring the first couple. He also pointed out that the Dolce & Gabbana account still has 13.7 million followers, despite calls to boycott on social media.

Isn’t it weird? Yesterday at 11pm we had 13.7 million followers. Today at 12 AM after all the people saying “unfollowing you” we have 13.7 million #DGHaters #boycottdolce&gabbana #DGLAVERITA,'” he captioned the image on Wednesday. The same day he shared another image of first lady and President Trump leaving Rome for Brussels.

This isn’t the first time Gabbana has defended himself and the first lady. After her first official White House portrait was unveiled in April, Gabbana shared the image on his Instagram account, calling it “beautiful” and thanking the first lady. When some users attacked the photo — and even the designer himself — for supporting Mrs. Trump, Gabbana told them to “go to hell.”
