Inspired by the birds and the bees, Christopher Bailey sent his girls out in a colorful parade of iridescent sequins, layers of tiered tulle, dégradé silk and suede, and swirls of printed satin. There was an inventive take on denim jackets (some came in mink with patent trim) as well as a denim trench that was nipped at the waist. Accessories were equally as bright in shades of blue, red, purple, mauve, and yellow. This included the footwear which consisted of flat sandals and sneakers (the house’s current muse and campaign girl Cara Delevigne—sitting next to Kate Moss in the front row—was seen wearing the latter). The hair was loose and flowing, and finally someone applied makeup to the models’ faces (in this case it was a slash of red lippy applied by Wendy Rowe). The best part? It’s all currently available for insta-purchase on the Burberry website, but only until September 29. Who wants to get a jump on spring?
