Kim K. Explains The Real Reason She Took North West to A Fashion Show

In case there was any doubt, this evening in Paris North West cemented her standing as the reigning princess of fashion babies with a coveted front row seat at Balenciaga. How’d she get there? North’s mom, none other than Kim Kardashian, told Yahoo Style exclusively that, “she started to cry when we were walking out the door, and we couldn’t leave her. So, it was a spur-of-the-moment thing. But it was an amazing fashion show for her to be at for her first show.”
While the 15-month-old has some competition in the style department — Rachel Zoe’s son Skylar has a closet full of designer clothes, and Blue Ivy Carter has a custom leather jacket with “Miss Blue Carter” embellished on the back and perfectly rocks Doc Martens — none have sat front row at a fashion show. Sure, Harper Beckham has attended her mom Victoria’s presentations, but there is a certain street-cred that goes to baby Nori, who has recently been spotted wearing Oscar de la Renta, Kenzo, Roberto Cavalli, and more for seeing Balenciaga up close. (To wit: even top editors were vying for this coveted ticket.) As is the custom, air kisses were doled out by plenty of her parents’ friends at the show including the first in line, auntie Anna Wintour.

The “world’s most talked about couple” and their adorable daughter arrived in Paris on Wednesday, making a stylish entrance into the country at the Gare du Nord terminal, having traveled from London via private train. Before taking in Balenciaga as a trio, Kanye West attended the Dries van Noten presentation solo.
After the family affair at Balenciaga, the Wests headed to the Peninsula Hotel for an event for designer Buro 24/7. When asked about North’s reaction to the show, Kardashian exclaimed, “She loves it!” Who wouldn’t at that age?
