Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign looks like it’s going to be “Brooklyn Cool.”

Politico reported Friday that the Clinton campaign has signed a lease to take over two floors of a Brooklyn Heights building that bills itself as “Modern Offices. Brooklyn Cool.”

The building might already boast a hip slogan, but the Clinton campaign has yet to reveal its own. In fact, the former secretary of state still hasn’t formally declared her candidacy for the Democratic presidential nomination.

Until now, Clinton has been in what the Federal Election Commission calls the “testing the waters” phase, wherein someone considering a run for federal office is allowed to travel around and make appearances in an effort to gauge whether a full-blown campaign is feasible.

There is no precise limit to how long this phase can last. But once the pondering politician starts conducting official campaign activity, such as leasing a campaign headquarters or authorizing a staff member to do so for her, she is officially considered a candidate and has 15 days to register her candidacy with the FEC.

Politico’s story cited a source close to the transaction, but the Clinton camp has yet to comment on the office. This Brooklyn-based campaign activity, however, might be a sign that an announcement is imminent.
