Semi-truck fire causes traffic delays on Interstate 10 near Houghton Road in Tucson

A semi-truck caught fire on the Interstate 10 near Houghton Road in Tucson and was blocking lanes, backing up traffic for about 5 miles, as of 5 p.m. Sunday.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety said a semi and a trailer were on fire and stopped on the right side of the interstate. The cause of the fire hasn't been released.

The smoke from the fire was blocking multiple westbound lanes, but the left one has been reopened.

The truck was carrying cargo and it will be unloaded. No injuries were reported, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
