NB Hwy 99 lanes open after trailer fire temporarily delayed traffic

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Northbound Highway 99 lanes are open after a big rig’s trailer went up in flames early Friday morning, according to California Highway Patrol.

A trailer hauling lemons caught fire on the number four lane of northbound Highway 99 just after 1 a.m. The number three and four lane remains closed at Wilson Road as crews work to clean up the scene.

CHP said they are still investigating what caused and it is unknown when the lanes will reopen.

Northbound traffic is moving slowly, expect delays.
