Several semi-trailers catch fire in central Las Vegas valley

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Several semi-trailers caught fire in the central Las Vegas valley Sunday night, resulting in a “high” level response from the Clark County Fire Department.

On Sunday around 8 p.m., CCFD crews responded to reports of a semi-trailer on fire that possibly extended to a building in the 3800 block of West Harmon Avenue near Valley View Boulevard.

The first engine responded within 4 minutes and reported heavy fire conditions with multiple trailers on fire. Crews were able to control the fire by 8:10 p.m. and the fire did not extend to the building, according to CCFD.

No injuries to fire personnel or civilians were reported and the estimate of damages is not currently available, CCFD said.

A total of 38 personnel responded to the “high” level response with six engines, two truck companies, two rescues, and two battalion chiefs.
