Seated Activists Block Busy Bridge in Austin in Protest of Kavanaugh Confirmation

Protesters opposed to the confirmation of Brett Kavanaugh as the US Supreme Court judge staged a sit-in on Saturday, October 6, on a busy bridge in Austin, Texas, blocking traffic.

Demonstrators chanted “Kavanaugh has got to go, no means no!” while occupying the bridge.

Footage taken from a nearby apartment building shows cars being turned back along the bridge after reaching the roadblock. At least 19 police cars can be seen on the bridge trying to break up the protesters.
