Apr. 22—ROCHESTER — A motor home fire left an elderly woman with smoke inhalation injuries on Sunday, April 21, 2024.

At about 7:31 p.m. Sunday, Olmsted County Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to a reported vehicle fire at a residence in the 5100 block of Highland Ridge Lane SE in Marion Township, according to a statement from the Olmsted County Sheriff's Office.

When deputies arrived, they found a 1983 Jamboree motorhome in the driveway of the residence with an exterior outlet panel on fire. A deputy attempted to extinguish the flames until Rochester Fire Department crews arrived on the scene and finished putting out the fire, the statement said.

The motorhome was parked about 30 feet from the nearby home.

A 70-year-old woman who occupied the motorhome received medical care for possible smoke inhalation, the sheriff's office reported.
