BPD pull man’s body from canal on Union Ave.

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A man’s body was found on in a canal on Union Avenue Tuesday morning, according to Bakersfield police.

Officers were dispatched to the 3400 block of Union Avenue and 34th Street for reports of a body in the canal just after 8 a.m. At the scene, officials found a man’s body in the water and pulled the man out of the canal.

Arvin murder suspect’s case moved to adult court

Emergency officials administered medical aid, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Coroner’s office will release the man’s identity at a later date.
