1 injured after truck hits tree in Payne Springs

PAYNE SPRINGS, Texas (KETK) – Payne Springs Fire Rescue said that a driver was injured after their truck hit a tree off of County Road 2830 on Friday.

PSFR said that one of their volunteers who lives near where the crash happened was the first to respond to the crash around 8:14 p.m.

The volunteer reportedly found the truck with heavy damage and the driver outside of the truck with significant injuries.

Soon EMS, PSFR Engine 1 and PSFR Engine 2 arrived on the scene and the driver was transported to a hospital in Tyler to be treated for their injuries.

PSFR said that CR 2830 was closed until the truck could be removed.
