Hear It First: John Lindahl’s ‘This Christmas’ Featuring Boyz II Men

Former X Factor contestant John Lindahl just received one of the best Christmas gifts ever. He tapped legendary soul singers Boyz II Men to provide backing vocals for his cover of Donny Hathaway’s classic “This Christmas,” premiering exclusively on Yahoo Music.

The 18-year-old crooner, who was just 14 when he competed on the first season of the talent show, sounds great alongside the R&B champs. Singed to a development deal with Epic Records, Lindhal has been building his social profile posting on his YouTube channel covers of songs by Justin Timberlake, Nick Jonas, Mayer Hawthorne, Sam Smith, Magic!, and Marvin Gaye.

In November, Lindahl sang the National Anthem at a New York Knicks vs. Orlando Magic game at Madison Square Garden. He’s currently working on new music with hitmaking producers Harmony Samuels, Rob Knox, James Fauntleroy, Jim Jonsin, and Polow.
