Watch this model brave the madness of SantaCon in the freezing cold wearing nothing but body paint

The streets of New York City are flooded each year with Santas, elves, and ugly Christmas sweaters for an event known as SantaCon. But one YouTuber sent a model out into the fray with an entirely different kind of yuletide outfit. JenTheBodyPainter applied her talents to make someone naked appear fully clothed.

Jen enlisted the help of model Lili Fuhri Snethlage (she goes by Lili Jasmijn on Instagram) to hit the streets in mid-December. And they filmed the whole thing.

Snethlage hits up some of the iconic Christmas locales around New York City, making stops at Rockefeller Center’s ice skating rink, the winter village in Bryant Park, and past the glittering department store displays of Fifth Avenue.

They even stop by a few pubs and restaurants to mingle with revelers and see who catches onto the body paint job. The reactions run the gamut of shocked to delighted and hit all points in between.

Despite the chilly temperatures, Snethlage doesn’t seem to mind the weather. She does sport a Santa hat and matching scarf for the video but otherwise sticks to her incognito outfit.

She caps things off in the video with some street interviews of SantaCon revelers. One man even takes his shirt off and offers it to Snethlage. “I can’t really give you my shirt because I’m not wearing a shirt,” she tells him.

The video wraps up with Snethlage recruiting some revelers to belt out Wham!’s ’80s classic “Last Christmas” in a bar karaoke session.

The partying in the video is very tame compared with what others in the city saw over the weekend. The annual SantaCon pub crawl has gained a reputation for rowdiness and drunken mishaps.

Over the weekend, nine people around the NYC area were arrested, one woman for allegedly punching a police officer in the face. Another 51 summonses for drinking in the street, public urination, and disorderly conduct were issued, with 32 summonses issued to drivers.
