Explosion rocks coal mine in Pavlohrad, several injured

Nearly 200 workers were reportedly working in the mine at the time. Three individuals were injured in the blast and swiftly transported to the hospital. Currently, their condition is stable, and there is no immediate threat to their lives.

The remaining miners were successfully evacuated to the surface, ensuring their safety.

DTEK, the company responsible for operating the mine, confirmed the incident and assured that the situation has been stabilized.

“DTEK is actively engaged in resolving the accident. Mine operations will resume once emergency procedures and comprehensive degassing of the mine workings are completed,” the company said in a Facebook announcement.
