2 drivers hospitalized after head-on crash in Uptown

Two people were taken to the hospital after a head-on crash in Uptown on Monday night.

According to Allegheny County 911, Pittsburgh police, fire and EMS crews were called to the intersection of Fifth Avenue and Stevenson Street at 8:06 p.m.

Pittsburgh police said the crash appears to have occurred after one driver traveled the wrong way on a one-way street.

Both drivers were hospitalized, one is in critical condition and the other is in stable condition.

A passenger was hurt and was treated at the scene by medics.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
