Are the days of dough-flinging human pizzaiolos numbered? We sure hope not, but a 3D-printed pizza by Natural Machines has us worried.

The Barcelona-based company sells a 3D food printer they’ve dubbed “Foodini.” Earlier this week, they tweeted a photo of one of its pies:

What’s the hardest part about making homemade pizza? Shaping the dough & even layer of sauce. So we printed both. pic.twitter.com/qOJQGzUUbD

Not bad for a machine, but we’ve got to say—these pies look a little too much like something frozen that’d been popped in a microwave. Read: unappetizing. Just saying.

According to another tweet from the company, Natural Machines is currently pursuing FDA approval for the Foodini, so human pizza makers can heave a sigh of relief for now. As for the future? Who knows.
