Police Vehicle Catches Fire at LaGuardia Airport in New York

A police vehicle caught alight outside Terminal C of LaGuardia Airport in New York, on September 19, causing the terminal to close for two hours.

Video filmed by Brittany Aubert shows the front of the vehicle engulfed in flames.

Traffic was diverted while crews worked to extinguish the fire. The terminal was re-opened at 5:45pm.

“There [was] a police car on fire just outside of baggage claim/arrivals area at Terminal C. At the time of the video, police had already rerouted traffic,” Aubert said. Credit: Brittany Aubert via Storyful
