Get ready to hear him roar.

Entertainment Weekly‘s latest cover story features an in-depth look at the upcoming live-action Disney remake with several new pictures.

The movie features Donald Glover and Beyoncé as the grown up Simba and Nala, while James Earl Jones reprises his role as Mufasa and Seth Rogen and Billy Eichner take on the lovable Timon and Pumbaa.

“It’s almost like we’re relaunching a classic stage piece, casting it in a way that brings a new spin to it and makes it exciting and interesting,” director Jon Favreau told EW.

“[The Lion King is] a timeless story, but I think the way Favreau has constructed it, it’s a very timely story as well,” Glover, 35, told EW. “I just wanted to be a part of a global good.”

Disney recently released the first full-length trailer for the highly-anticipated movie, which emotionally recreates several iconic scenes from the 1994 animated original.

The nearly 2-minute clip opens with a Scar (Chiwetel Ejiofor) voiceover, where he utters, “Life’s not fair, is it?” — a line Jeremy Irons‘ Scar told a mouse in the animated film before hesitantly letting it go.

This time, young Simba (JD McCrary) and Nala (Shahadi Wright Joseph) are frolicking in the treacherous elephant graveyard as Simba’s would-be-king uncle continues his monologue … before we get a chilling glimpse of his face for the very first time.

The clip ends in a lighthearted note, with Timon (Billy Eichner) and Pumbaa (Seth Rogen) singing the opening notes of “The Lion Sleeps Tonight.”

The Lion King hits theaters on July 19.
