The Moment Justin Bieber Met Hailey Baldwin Captured for Posterity
If Hailey Baldwin becomes Justin Bieber’s forever bae, they will have more than a story to tell the grandkids about their first meeting. The moment they met was captured on camera for all to see.
While the Biebs, 21, coupled up with his bestie, 19, over the holidays, they actually met back in 2009 when her dad, actor Stephen Baldwin, brought her to meet the “Baby” singer. The Canadian crooner, who was still rocking his signature hair swoop (and not the “douchebag” cornrows Hailey had him in during their vacation), is seen extending a hand to the future model, who hadn’t yet discovered hair dye or cutoffs.

The tween Hailey doesn’t seem that excited to meet the up-and-comer, but — trust us — she was dying inside. That was the year he released “Baby” and “One Time,” and we’d bet anything she was dreaming about being “One Less Lonely Girl.”
The pair stayed friends — check ‘em out with her dear old dad again in 2011 at the Never Say Never premiere in NYC — and the rest, as they say, is history.

When exactly they crossed over from friends to lovers is vague because as recently as Dec. 17, Bieber said he was single. In an interview on the syndicated radio program The Bert Show, which was recorded then but aired this morning, he said, “I don’t have a girlfriend.” In the same chat, he denied that he was dating Kourtney Kardashian (”I’m being used, man”), said his romance with Selena Gomez was a thing of the past, and opened up about how “people take advantage of vulnerability.”
Bieber seems to have no complaints to register about his relationship with Hailey — however long it lasts.
