Teresa Giudice Opens Up About Raising Her Daughters While Husband Joe Is in Prison

Teresa Giudice was released from the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, Conn., in December 2015 and jumped right back into her pre-prison routine — making breakfast for her four daughters, Gia, 15; Gabriella; 11, Milania, 10; and Audriana, 6, before driving them to gymnastics, cheerleading, and soccer.

“I can’t wait for Joe to get home,” the Real Housewives of New Jersey star, 44, told People magazine. “He needs to help me.”

Teresa’s husband is currently serving a 41-month sentence for mail, wire, and bankruptcy fraud at the Federal Correctional Institution in Fort Dix, N.J. She told the magazine that she communicates with him a “million times a day” via email and added that the visitation process has become simpler.

“I’m not going to say it’s easier, but the girls went though it with me already,” she said. “We get in and out. They’ve got it down pat.”

Though Joe, who was born in Italy and never became a U.S. citizen, could face deportation after he’s released from prison in 2019, Teresa is staying positive.
