Susan Sarandon Confirms She Had ‘the Worst Time’ During the Democratic National Convention

Ardent Bernie Sanders supporter Susan Sarandon was spotted at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia on Monday shaking her head and looking absolutely miserable.

The moment was caught by cameras and quickly turned into a GIF by Twitter user Ian McKenna. “Susan Sarandon is having literally the worst time at the #DemConvention,” he wrote alongside the hilarious clip. The 69-year-old actress caught wind of the GIF and promptly retweeted it, confirming that McKenna’s statement was “accurate” — you know, just in case it wasn’t clear she was disappointed over the fanfare for presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, who she has frequently and openly criticized.

The actress isn’t the only star to weigh in on her own Internet meme. Justin Timberlake took to Twitter in April to poke fun at the “It’s Gonna Be May” meme that circulates the web every year around May 1. The singer shared the popular meme, which was inspired by NSync’s hit song “It’s Gonna Be Me,” tweeting, “Everybody… It is ACTUALLY GONNA BE MAY! #canyoumemeyourself Probably not, right?”

During an appearance on Conan, Tom Felton addressed the Photoshopped memes that showed his Harry Potter character, Draco Malfoy, getting rather cozy with Harry.

“It’s pretty alarming,” he said with a laugh as the meme of Harry and Draco spooning flashed on the screen. “To make matters worse, my brother actually had that on his screensaver. He found it hilarious, and he actually told everyone that he took the picture and it was real.”

Keanu Reeves responded to his viral meme during an interview with Vulture but didn’t quite get the concept at first. “So, they, like, take paparazzi pictures and recontextualize them? Funny,” he said of the meme of him looking sad while sitting on a park bench. “Given the scope and scale of what can happen out there, that sounds like an all right one. It sounds conceptually funny.”
