Chris Brown Releases New Song 'What Would You Do' Less Than 24 Hours After Deadly Weapon Arrest

Less than 24 hours after being released from jail on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, Chris Brown drops a new song titled "What Would You Do?"

The upbeat dance number – which was released on his SoundCloud page Wednesday – opens with the lyrics: "I've got some questions, some questions for you / I need some answers, answers from you / What do you do, fighting for your life when no one's on your side? / I can't stand to loose you, see you're in too deep with no where to hide."

That same day, the father of one hinted that he would be revealing a new music project. "Yo, you know all this b----s---- going on man, I'm just gonna turn the other cheek and drop some music," Brown, 27, said in a video shared hours before the song's premiere.

On Tuesday, Brown was involved in a 10-hour standoff with Los Angeles police at his Tarzana mansion after a woman called 911 claiming he had allegedly threatened her with a gun.

He was released late Tuesday night after posting $250,000 bail, according to L.A. County jail records. Brown's lawyer Mark Geragos defended his client on Twitter Wednesday, writing, "Thanks to everyone for their support and well wishes. Chris is out and well. The allegations against him are demonstrably false #TeamBreezy."

Though the timing of the new song coincides with his latest incident, this is not the only new track Brown has released in recent months. In May, he released the first official single, "Grass Ain't Greener," off his forthcoming album Heartbreak on a Full Moon. The last album Brown released was Royalty in December 2015.

A release date for Heartbreak on a Full Moon has yet to be announced.
