Ariana Grande Gets Passionate About Gender Equality in Billboard Magazine Interview

Don’t you dare hold Ariana Grande to a different standard than the men in Hollywood.

The 22-year-old singer sat down with Billboard magazine for a candid interview about gender equality in which she points out some of the double standards she’s noticed in the industry.

“If you’re going to rave about how sexy a male artist looks with his shirt off, and a woman decides to get in her panties or show her boobies for a photo shoot, she needs to be treated with the same awe and admiration,” Ariana told the mag.

And the “Dangerous Woman” crooner made it very clear that she doesn’t plan on changing her stance any time soon, explaining that you’ll find her in the Whole Foods “produce aisle, naked at 95, with a sensible ponytail, one strand of hair left on [her] head and a Chanel bow."

But mark her words, while she might be naked, she won’t be there alone. Ariana will "See you there with [her] 95 dogs.”

The former Nickelodeon star went on to call out a much-talked-about former Hollywood couple, arguing that a successful woman should not be attached to a man “when they say her name."

"I saw a headline - draw your own conclusions [on the subjects] because it’ll be so much drama that I don’t want — they called someone another someone’s ex, and that pissed me off,” she explained.

But what did Grande have to say when asked about her rumored man and back-up dancer, Ricky Alvarez? Check out this video to find out, and tune in to The Insider With Yahoo on TV tonight for the latest in entertainment news.
