How Amber Rose and Kim Kardashian Buried the Hatchet with a Selfie: I’d Never Spoken to Her Before That

Kylie Jenner and Blac Chyna may have squashed their bad blood with a selfie, but they were hardly the first.

For that, look no farther than Jenner’s big sis Kim Kardashian West and Amber Rose.

In this week’s issue of PEOPLE, Rose opens up about the game-changing picture, which turned heads when Kardashian West shared it in February because it came just days after her husband Kanye West slammed his ex Rose during a Twitter feud with Wiz Khalifa. (For background, Khalifa and Rose are also exes and share a son together. During the back-and-forth with Khalifa, Kanye bashed his ex and mentioned her 3-year-old son with Khalifa, Sebastian – a move she publicly denounced.)

Despite the friendly selfie, Rose maintains “that was the one and only time I’ve ever spoken to Kim.”

Not because there’s still any beef between the two women, though – in fact, the model and soon-to-be-talk show host says she likes Kardashian West, 35, and thinks “she’s really nice” and “cool.”

“I’m actually a fan of [her sister] Khloé [Kardashian], always have been,” adds Rose, 32. “I just think as women it’s good for us to just let things go and I feel like we did.”

Of course, don’t expect her to be buddying up to West, 38, anytime soon.

“I don’t necessarily like [Kim]’s husband, she knows that,” Rose says. “Me and her aren’t best friends, I don’t think we ever will be, but I like her. I think she’s a nice girl.”

And while Rose isn’t interested in getting into how the selfie came about (“it’s irrelevant”), at the end of the day, she’s just happy to have buried the hatchet.

“It just happened so it’s good that it happened, for sure,” she said.
